Apple Piecers

Apple Piecers make quilts for worthy causes such as PajaroApple Piecers Space Quilt Valley Shelter Services, Jacob’s Heart, Early Headstart, Carmelita’s Closet (at the FoodBank), and Watsonville Community Hospital. We also work with children at the County Fair and Ag History’s “Day on the Farm” to illustrate quilt making and to help us make quilts that will end up on the bed of someone who could use some extra comfort.

Every year we make a couple hundred quilts that will enrich the lives of people in the Santa Cruz County—from foster kids to senior citizens and even newborn babies.

Apple Piecers QuiltApple Piecers meet 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month from 10 am to 3 pm at the Agricultural History Museum at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds in Watsonville. For those members of PVQA who cannot make it to Apple Piecers’ twice a month meetings, we bring quilt kits and quilts that need bindings sewn on to our PVQA monthly meetings. Contact Cathie Colson for more information.

The quilts we all make warm many hearts across our valley, and that is why we exist.
