2021 Virtual Quilt Show Guidelines

  1. ENTRY FORMS. An online entry form must be submitted for each entry. Please email Entry Form Chair at show-entry-form@pvqa.org if you are unable to use the online form. Click here for the 2021 Virtual Quilt Show Entry Form:
  2. PHOTO. A photo of the COMPLETED quilt/item MUST be provided with each entry. Two photos will be accepted for each item entered. The first photo should be of the entire, completely finished quilt/item taken from a “straight-on” direction. A second photo is optional and may be submitted of the back of the quilt/item or a detail you wish to highlight, such as the quilting or a portion of the design. Hands holding the quilt/item should not be visible. Please crop out distracting items in the background. Photos may be cropped/edited at the discretion of the web team. File size for photos must meet the website requirements. We are requiring a minimum file size of 600 x 315 pixels. If your image is smaller than 600 x 315 pixels, it will appear as a small image and will not be a satisfactory representation of your item. The maximum file size for the uploaded image file is 5 MB.
  3. PHOTO SUBMISSION OPTIONS. You can submit your Virtual Quilt Show Entry without uploading a photo of your item. There are three options for submitting your quilt/item photo(s):
    1. Photo Upload: Upload your photo(s) in the ‘Photo Upload’ section on the entry form.
    2. Email your photo(s): When you get your Confirmation email, note the Entry ID at the top of the confirmation. Email your photo to quiltshowchair@pvqa.org along with the Entry ID, your name, the title of the quilt/item and the file name of your photo.
    3. Photography service provided by PVQA: If you are a PVQA member and need help taking photographs of your work that meet the specifications, the Guild has arranged for a convenient and low-cost solution. To keep everyone safe, this will be done via a drop off and pick up process between November 14 and January 2, 2021. There will be a fee for this service. Click here for more information about this service. This service is for PVQA members only.
  4. FOUR-INCH SLEEVE. If you are using the photography service provided by PVQA (option #3 above) and your quilt is larger the 90″ by 90″, then you must attach a 4-inch sleeve to the top of the back of your quilt. No sleeve is required if you not using the photography service provided by PVQA.
  5. ACCEPTANCE. Entries are accepted on a first come, first serve basis and at the discretion of the Layout Committee.
  6. LIMITS. Enter up to 5 items. A separate online entry form must be submitted for EACH item. To enter more than 5 items, indicate the item’s priority on the General Entry form and it will be included if space permits.
  7. FEES. PVQA members – Free. Artists under 18 – Free. Non-members pay $20 per entry.
  8. ITEMS FOR SALE. You may offer your items for sale. Please read the Quilt Show Sales Guidelines.
  9. WITHDRAWALS. To withdraw an entry contact Kathy Howard at quiltshowchair@pvqa.org as soon as possible.
