Online Quilting Bee with Mini-Workshops for Holiday Projects
Saturday, October 24 from 10 AM to 2 PM
This year Show and Tell at our December guild meeting will focus on winter holiday themed quilts and sewing projects. We would like everyone to show their holiday treasures. If you have given away all your Christmas and Hanukkah quilts, maybe it is time to make a new quilt to enjoy this season. To give you some ideas, the October Quilting Bee will include mini-workshops where members will demonstrate and share ideas for holiday blocks and quilting projects.
Mac will demonstrate his version of the Virginia Worm Fence block done in holiday fabric and Pam Rocco will show how to construct an Improv Snowflake block. Other projects members will demonstrate include: a Crazy Christmas Tree quilt, an easy table runner using jelly roles and Scandinavian Folded Stars. If you have a holiday themed project you would like to share, please call Katie Woods (688-8513) — we are looking more good ideas.
A few days before the event, you will receive the Zoom invitation to the Quilting Bee which will include the schedule of the presentations. We hope you will all drop in for this event and spend a few hours sewing with friends and getting inspired for the holidays. Looking forward to seeing you on line.
